"LITTLE
BITES"
DID YOU KNOW?
The word angling is derived from the
angle produced by the rod and line? The rod is broken down into 3 sections.
Tip, middle, and butt. The hand drives the butt, the butt drives the middle,
the middle drives the tip which in turn drives the line. The tightness or looseness
of this linkage is the "action" of the rod.
TRIVIA
In the 1940's the FCC assigned
televisions Channel 1 to mobile services, but did not renumber other channel assignments.
That is why your TV set has Channels 2 and up but no Channel 1.
The words, facetious, abstemious and
arsenious contain all the vowels in the correct order.
JOKES
A boy was taking care of his baby
sister while his parents went to town shopping. He decided to go fishing and he had to
take her along. "I'll never do that again!" he told his mother that evening.
"I didn't catch a thing!"
"Oh, next time I'm sure she'll be
quiet and not scare the fish away," his mother said.
The boy said, "It wasn't that. She
ate all the bait!"
Q: How to communicate with a fish?
A: Drop him a line!
